From pubs to music joints to dance clubs, Grand Bahama has just about anything you could want for a good evening out. The best place to see some live entertainment while enjoying dinner on a restaurant terrace is at the Count Basie Square in Port Lucaya Marketplace, which has themed music nights (such as disco, gospel or oldies). Live music can also be found at the Sheraton at Our Lucaya, where Barracuda's features a buffet and junkanoo performance on Saturdays at 8pm.
If you are more into dancing, the Amnesia Dining & Dancing Showclub at the International Bazaar has a full bar and dance floor open on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 9:30pm. Jokers Wild, Club 2000 and Safari Lounge are all discos featuring a variety of live music. These clubs are packed on Friday and Saturday, though some are open on other nights as well. If none of the above options sound appealing, there are always the tried and true pubs and bars in Freeport. Rum Runner's Bar in Port Lucaya Marketplace specializes in coconut drinks, while Margarita Villa Sand Bar has bonfires every Tuesday night, Shenanigan's Irish Pub serves the only Dublin Draft Guiness in the Bahamas, and Pub on the Mall, the oldest English pub in Freeport, televises sports games on its 96-inch screen every night.
